1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to the Fantasy Cyber League (Phishing Email Game). By creating an account and using this platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not register or use this service.

2. Data Collection (GDPR Notice)

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we practice data minimisation. We only collect the data strictly necessary for the application to function:

  • Email Address: Required for unique account identification and authentication.
  • Username: Required for display on the public leaderboard.
  • Department (Optional): Used for grouping leaderboard statistics.
  • Game Data: Your score, current level, and interaction history within the game.

3. How Your Data is Used

Your data is processed for the following educational and functional purposes only:

  • To allow you to log in and maintain your progress.
  • To display your ranking on the global leaderboard (see Section 6).
  • To track security awareness improvements within your department.

We do not share your personal data with external third parties.

4. Data Retention Policy

To ensure we do not hold data longer than necessary:

  • Active Accounts: Data is retained as long as you actively use the platform.

5. Your Rights (Data Deletion)

You have the "Right to be Forgotten." You may request the full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion, your email and username will be removed from the database, and you will no longer appear on the leaderboard.

6. Leaderboard Privacy

This application features a public leaderboard. To protect your privacy:

  • Only your Username and Score are displayed publicly.
  • Your Email Address is never shown on the leaderboard.
  • If you do not wish to be identifiable, please choose a pseudonym as your Username (e.g., "User123" instead of your real name).

7. Security and Conduct

This is an educational platform. Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Attempting to hack, modify, or compromise the system (e.g., SQL Injection, XSS).
  • Uploading malicious files or scripts.
  • Attempting to access accounts that belong to other users.

Any user found violating these rules will have their account suspended immediately.

8. Cookie Policy

We use session cookies solely to keep you logged in while you navigate the site. These cookies are set with HttpOnly and Secure attributes to protect your session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
